HOT TENSILE PROPERTIES OF INCONEL 706 ALLOY

نویسندگان

چکیده

INCONEL 706 is a high-strength nickel-based super alloy that commonly used in high-temperature applications such as gas turbines and nuclear reactors. In this study, the hot tensile properties of Inconel were investigated to better understand material's behavior under high-stress conditions. Tensile tests conducted at temperatures ranging from 740°, 860°, 940°, 1020°1080°and strain rates 0.001/s 1/s. The results showed ultimate strength yield decreased with increasing temperature, while elongation increased. rate had negligible effect on mechanical properties. Microstructural analysis revealed deformation mechanism changed dislocation slip dynamic recrystallization temperature activation energy for was calculated be 421 kJ/mol, indicating diffusion-controlled mechanisms play an important role process. Overall, found highly dependent microstructure, which should considered design operation components made alloy. output testing machine data software like MATLAB, Ansys. aim investigations project study change properties, especially high HTPI, elevated temperatures.

EFFECTS OF HOT ISOSTATIC PRESSING ON THE TENSILE PROPERTIES OF A356 CAST ALLOY

The influences of age hardening and HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing) on the mechanical properties of A356 (Al 7Si 0.6 Mg) casting alloys were studied. Cast bars were homogenized, heated and maintained at a temperature of 540°C for a duration of 2 hours, followed by rapid cooling in a polymeric solution. The castings were age hardened at 180°C for a duration of 4 hours before being subjected to HIP ...

Microstructure, Tensile and Creep Properties of Ta20Nb20Hf20Zr20Ti20 High Entropy Alloy

This paper examines the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ta20Nb20Hf20Zr20Ti20. Two casting processes, namely, gravity casting and suction-assisted casting, were applied, both followed by Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). The aim of the current study was to investigate the creep and tensile properties of the material, since the literature review revealed no data whatsoever regarding these...

Determining the Hot Deformation Temperature Range of Medium Carbon Ni-Cr-Mo Low Alloy Steels using Hot Tensile and Hot Torsion Tests

The aim of this study was to investigate the suitable temperature range for hot deformation of three medium carbon Ni-Cr-Mo low alloy steels by hot tensile and hot torsion tests. Hot tensile tests were carried out in the te,prature range of 850-1150°C at a constant strain rate of 0.1 s-1 until fracture. Then, the tensile flow behavior, hot ductility and microstructural evolution of the steels w...
